Standard Verification (Portfolios) – Visit Completed
After several years of conducting standards verifications virtually due to pandemic-related restrictions, a physical standards verification visit was successfully completed in August 2023. This marked a welcome return to in-person verification, which allows for more thorough review of physical evidence and direct interaction between the verifier and the assessment team.
During the visit, the Pearson-appointed standards verifier conducted a comprehensive review of candidate portfolios, assessment records, and internal quality assurance documentation. The verifier also met with assessors and internal verifiers to discuss assessment practices, sampling strategies, and areas for continuous improvement.
The outcome of the verification was positive, confirming that the assessment processes and candidate evidence meet the required Pearson BTEC standards. Certification will now proceed for candidates who are in this verification cycle, and certificates will be processed and dispatched in the coming weeks.
